Posted January 6, 201114 yr Miniature bull shark, that is. OVer the past few days I've noticed my African Dwarf Frog, Rock, was getting rather inactive. So I bought a new heater and installed it into my 10 gallon tank, and let my new shark Buddy in. He swam around, and being the humorous guy he is, started playing with the current of the filter. He's been doing this for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT. It's like, "Buddy! You are still swimming in circles... " He constantly swims and he swims LIKE A SHARK. He wiggles his tail and just, swims. I guess he just learned how to have fun in my tank for him. He's a great guy and loves to eat food that I give him. He will not eat food from anyone else in my house; my sister, my mom, my dad, etc. He is so cute Will post a video of him swimming.
January 7, 201114 yr So you have a real shark? Can you post some pics of the pets you mention in this thread? i would love to see the pics
January 7, 201114 yr Bull Shark. A minature one at that. Are you talking a real Bull Shark? One of the most dangerous and highly aggressive sharks in the sea. They are so quick to anger they make a White Pointer look like a puppy.
January 8, 201114 yr How big is he? I guess he he got made he would bite, OUCH.... Love to see a photo of him too.
January 8, 201114 yr I've googled mini bull shark... and seen an innumerable amount of pictures showing different sharks/fish... would love to see what kind you have...
January 8, 201114 yr my 10 gallon tank He constantly swims and he swims LIKE A SHARK. I think it's a fish guys, sharks need ( even small guys ) at least 126 gallons ( I think ) and he swims 'like' a shark.
January 9, 201114 yr Author I believe the pet store labeled him as "Bull Shark" Maybe they labeled him wrong? I will post a picture later, my mom has the camera right now... I'll describe him for now. He is gray-black on the top of his body, and has a white underbelly. He also has whiskers like a catfish... Edited January 9, 201114 yr by Ciana
January 10, 201114 yr You have a catfish. I would have to consult my fish books for which type. My memory for aqaurium fish is not as good as it once was since I have been out of them for so many years. Why it was labelled a Bull Shark well maybe a question for the store owner.
January 10, 201114 yr Arius Seemani - A type of Catfish. I have no idea why but some shops/websites call them Bull Sharks. Seems a bit like calling a Budgie an Eagle...
January 11, 201114 yr Author Thanks for your help! I'm looking them up right now. Yes he was labeled as Bull Shark; will have to contact the store.
January 11, 201114 yr Guess it comes down to what ever it takes to sell an object. I have seen changes in plants over the years. A new hybrid is developed and floods the market but when it eventually dies down and sales decrease they do a rename or resurrect an old but obscure name.
January 11, 201114 yr lol still its pretty cool i always wanted one them but fish n me dont mix mmm unless its fish n chips ( wheres the little guy with the tongue ??? )
