what would a light blue budgie with white wings make with a lutino i dont know the history or colours of their parents

INOS ( lutino and albino ) is a sex linked gene so you need to say what sex the ino is.

You also need to post a photo of your blue budgie so we can identify its mutation.

An all yellow budgie is not always a lutino. If it has black eyes it may be a df spangle. Same with an all white budgie. They need to have red eyes to be an ino.

In my signature under my post is a link on how to post pictures :)

Your male is a spangle.

you wont get any lutinos

Lutino breeding tables http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r145/kazzart/budgies/breeding6.jpg

spangle is a dominant gene

green is dominant. A lutino is in effect a green bird.

Lutinos hide their other mutations that they carry.

you are in for some surprises

please post all your photos again for all your topics in the larger allowed size of 480 by 640

I think the hen lookes to be YF Albino, But as mentioned we need some bigger pictures :) Do you have a camera you could borrow to take some? I know it is hard getting them on phones, as they are quite small. :)

could i ask what is the difference i am new to all the different types

And Albino is a bird that is all white, red eyes. A lutino is the green version of this, so it is all yellow with red eyes.

Yellowface is a colour in blue birds that makes their white feathers face feathers (and some other parts of their body) go yellow. On an albino bird, the white face is the brightest, with yellow bleeding through the body.

YF Albino is a softer yellow, compared to lutino:

Well done Squeak :D

thankyou it will take a while to learn all of the mutations

could the lutino gene ever pop up further down the track

Yes it can be carried in hidden form by males. But they will only ever produce visual females if anything unless paired with an ino hen which would then allow them also to produce 50% males with ino as well as 50% female inos'.
