Posted December 23, 201014 yr Hi, I am a new budgie keeper & have joined here to learn more. At the moment we have 6 budgies, 2 white, 2 grenn/yellows, 1 sky blue & a grey. I would like to breed but not yet as I have heaps to learn. I have kept over birds before gala's & cockies mainly & my partner used to keep peach faces. look forward to getting to know you all & to learn more.

December 23, 201014 yr Author Thanks for the welcome. I will be putting pics up later today as I have terrble trouble figurering out what/what colour wise. I think my 2 whites are totally different as 1 has a purple cere/dark eyes & the other browncere/red eyes. Also I think I may only have 2 that would be worth breeding but need advice.

You are right you have two different types there the one with the brown cere is a albino hen The other is male as is either Dark Eye Clear or Double Factor Spangle. It wil depend on his age to work out which he is. If he is an older bird (8 months onward) you would be looking at DEC as their cere do not change from the baby pink colour. DF spangles get the normal dark blue cere and have a white iris ring in the eye. Welcome to BBC it is a great place and I can't wait to see your birds.
