This chick is four weeks old. Not a creamino like its sisters/brothers but same colouring, no red eyes. So I guess a YF2 something? I saw someone had posted a photo of their YF cock on one of my links but can't find it now I am looking for it!!!

See now there are a lot of experts on here that leave me for dead, but I am going to say that you have a YF Dark-Eyed Clear.

This table will help you understand how you can get the mutation. It might mean you need to look at the parents and reconsider the way you classified their mutations.

Oops, almost forgot - I say male.

So I think you have a YF Dark-Eyed Clear Cock.

Joe (male) is their first born from the first clutch. The second born was a female creamino.

Their second clutch has this chick, a greyish colouring up chick at 2 weeks old and then two creaminos.

Many thanks for your help.

Both parents are spangles so I say you have a YF double factor spangle.

This is the first time i have considered the parents - thanks for posting those pics.

If that is Mum in the first two pics, and dad in the second to, then you will notice that mum, like dad, is a spangle.

Forget what I said earlier, you do not have a Dark-Eyed Clear, but instead, you have a Yellow faced Double Factor Spangle.

You did not state that Mum was a spangle, thus why I was confused. Mum is definitely a spangle, look at her wing pattern.

Mum is Yellow Faced Skye blue recessive pied spangle whilst dad is an olive green spangle/blue/recessive pied/lutino.

I think that is it.

I agree with Kaz and Dave, I was wondering how you came up with clear flight Dave, when my first thought was DF spangle yellow face, and knowing I would probably be wrong but then there were no parent pics.

Cute little boy too

Wow what a mouthful - many thanks Dave. I only said that mum was a Yellow face recessive pied because that is what I was told on another thread. Thought she had more to her genetics but this is our 2nd year owning budgies, just really getting into genetics since they are breeding this year so totally green

We are trying to build a table of the genetics of our birds so we can sort out breeding for next year - think we'll keep this pair together!!!!!!

And I am assuming that bub is a male - how exciting for breeding next year.

Will the Creaminos be all females because mum isn't an ino?

You should have more faith in yourself. Many thanks - I think he's gorgeous. Funny how he is the same colouring as a previous clutch sister and current clutch 2 babies but they are all creaminos. Not sure if they are males or females yet but assume females as mum isn't ino.

Don't worry I can give you plenty of practice at guessing genetics and males or females if you would like!!!!! I have 16 budgies and 21 babies. I have most of them worked out, but as I found with Coco, someone will find another genetic to add to the string, especially once the babies colour up.

I have so much to take in  and reading to do my brain is going numb!
