My poor girl is pulling out her feathers. The weather has been really crazy with hot 38 degree days and then extream storms

Anyone got any ideas??

Sorry she is only sitting on the eggs at the moment and with the weather as it has been she hasnt moved from them all day.

Im worried about her does she need a vet visit?

Thanks so much Dave i was so worried about her. I didnt want to take her off the eggs to go to the vet... so happy :)

It is natural to have her pull out chest feathers. It allows her to transfer warmth to the eggs better. Leave her alone, she is fine.

I agree with Dave. Not all hens do this but some do.

Agree, absolutely normal process allowing skin to egg contact for incubation.
