BILD0237.jpg

BILD0238.jpg

my grey dilute boy hes going to go with my best albino hen

whom i have not got a picture of

so i can get albino/dilute cocks and grey/ dilute hen

im pretty sure the albinos are all masking grey as they are all perfect color with no suffusion at all

and their full brother recently had 15 grey /albino cocks and 3 albino hens from a grey hen

not one bird was another color so if im lucky either hes masking df grey

or they are just all grey birds under their white coats either way i got a chance that at least a few the /albino cocks from him will be df grey

next years breeding will answer that

BILD0232.jpg

remember ..........little toe ??

well shes not to little anymore

intact bigger than her brother still not as big as my other birds but shes a good solid hen so and will in cress in size both ways in 6 months time :}so stays

BILD0263.jpg

BILD0264.jpg

ill find picture of brother somewhere

he is a possible cull so i took more pics of stayers not leaves so i can decide on if they have what it takes to improve others in flock

okay lacewing hen

im not actually sure if this is one of two i was gifted from somebody

or if its one i bred im leaning to the giftd ??? as im pretty sure this hen has more back skull than mine

either way shes lovely and not as yet breed-able age

will need to find out exactly when she will be ready actually

i finally got the ring codes so ill be doing that soon

BILD0239.jpg

although this picture does him no justice ill be pairing him to the hen above when shes ready :}

hes my grey green /op /lacewing/blue cock from gg-stud wa

im hoping he will click with her and the chicks be in between both of them

dads stance

mums broadness which is not showing in picture

and mums direction feather above cere with dads above head length :} well see

thank you dave

i have only breed 6 albinos this year but all are very good in size

two are bad in color but their heads are way better than my better colored ones

but being hens with good size and heads i will keep and put to my best / albino cock

their uncle hes a grey so hope this will rectify the colour issue in any more offspring

besides if i get split cocks well i can then fix the colour in generations to come by putting them to my grey hens

i have breed

7 grey hens this year that ive kept for future breeding my albino and lacewing lines

im, uploading more pics now so will have other pics latter on

of my other birds

Very nice Gb, I like the albino too, I need a good albino hen for my clearbody but now I have bred a lovely clear body hen I would also like a nice albino cock. Let me know when you have some spare ones.

Those are wonderful birds, GB. I really enjoy looking at your pictures. I remember the beautiful ones, too, of you sitting with your birds and how relaxed you all looked.

The pop out aviary is great. I am sure they all enjoy being out in that.

well thanks splat

shes okay im taking you are both talking about the first sister

her other sister is much nicer

but hard to get picture of as she flys off every time you even look at her

im not going to have any albino cocks for a while yet sorry hun and if i do i doubt they will be as nice as my hens

as their brother is very small

You have improved in huge steps GB since last year. I love your birds. Well done. I think I might come for a drive and have a look in person. A day out soon after Christmas, lol I drove to Leeton last week 3 and something hours each way and I got my seed and headed home straight away . But at least if I came to your place I could have a huge break before heading back.

well you know your always welcomed splat

i have enough room for you to stay if you liked i could cook you tea and spoil you for the afternoon oh that would be fun

i haven't been able to share tea or lunch with anyone for some while and i do love putting on a good meal for someone :)

i hope you do decide to who knows maybe we can arrange a aviary visit here or their if you gave me enough notice i could inquire as to if it was possible :) we have a few interesting people with a wealth of information i think are truly worth visiting if they didn't mind

but if not we can just sit out on the banana lounges with a few cold drinks and watch mine :}

That sounds great we can do it all. I will give plenty of notice I think. But I have to come home with an albino hen lol

then you better wait till july as im only pairing my albinos in march so.......... but i may be able to help you get a clearbody split albino or a lute / clearbody if your interested they are really really nice and i dont think i have seen much better

if i had the room to breed clearbodys i would but im putting dilute into my albinos so .... i cant mix dilute n clearbody :{

maybe in a few years time

That sounds good, clearbody split albino. and maybe lute, I want to bred more clearbodies next year.

My lutino is split greywing NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT, but he is a nice big bird for a lute so I am keeping him.

I will probably make my trip in a few weeks. After Christmas.

my own breed opaline light green hen 010

this hen has bit of a story its truly amassing shes looking so good and alive

just last month or month before she had a tummo in her neak that as a rezult stopped he from eatting

so i cut it out and sealed an washed the wound she was fine with in hours and back in flight in two weeks she has put back all her condition and is now ready to be put down to breed when i decide whom to  more later

Very Nice birds Gb, wow you saved that hen, amazing.

Looking great GB !!!

I'd love to see most of your birds in my aviary. Come on over......we have room :D

BILD1471.jpg

its very tempting to come live in wa :}

actually kaz hes doing very bad this is him in very poor condition

hes flights are all crappy and either chewed or mite eatten as their yukky as

hes very thin to ive had him in cage alone and only just returned to flights hes still got heaps to go before hes better

and splat that hen showed me that if i follow my instinct straight up then i can save lives out their i didnt even have proper scalpel this time just a razor blade and bennadine and a massive faith in my self to beable to do it with out backing out what ever went wrong to just finish the procedure i had to cut the tummor from her neak bone and be very careful not to get magor vain in the area it was hard as i had to hold bird with one hand giving me only one hand to cut and stitch clean as i go and all im very proud of my achieve ment ill get the pics of the surgery when my coms back as their on their on my face book to

Gosh well done, I would of fainted I think, not really Geoff and I cut my hens eye that time remember, blood every where it was horrific but she is excellent now.

But we didn't need to stitch thank god.

I think if I had too I would do it too.

Df spangle is nice but he does look worse for his tear as the saying goes, hope he comes in to condition for you soon GB as you have had him for a while.

But saying that last JULY/AUGUST I bought 2 birds from a breeder and paid a fair amount of money for them, (a fair amount in my books as you know I do not spend a lot but I don't have it to spend anyway. And plus I like to breed my own good birds).

But anyway that hen has had a blue cere since I got her and about a month ago her breast plate was razor sharp and I am thinking what a rip off BUT I am pleased to say in the last 2 weeks her cere has gone brown and she has meat on her breast plate. so I am now happy.

ive only had him few months splat since the western suburbs auction

but he does have a way to go to get better

today i peebo'ed the whole aviary then scrapped floor in vaced making sure to get any residue that fell to ground i took seed and water out first obviously

i sprayed all birds and then closed the flight doors for 15 mints so they all breathed it in so as to kill any air sack mite if anyone had any just a precoshion

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE SPRAY BIRDS LIKE THIS i did this knowing i could possibly lose birds AND AFTER DISCUSSING WITH A FELLOW BREEDER

THE TRUE PROCEDURE ENTAILS YOU TAKING AFFECTED BIRDS PLACING IN A SHOW CAGE OR SMALL CAGE COVERING WITH A TEA TOWEL AND SPRAYING FOR 30 SECONDS SO BIRD BREATHS IT IN TO ITS AIR SACKS

I JUST GOT FRUSTRATED  AND DID IT MY OWN WAY NOT RECOMMENDED THOUGH
