This is from Ma (Double Factor Spangle Female) and Tawa (Violet Male)

She fledged from her nesting box into this nesting box. Guess it is her as her daddy is VERY interested in her and I had to chase him away from her a few times.

This doesnt mean much. Dads try this as a dominance thing sometimes and sex of the baby at that time is irrelevant.

Pretty baby! Love the depth of colour on dad too :)

I think from those photos that she is a boy, cere looks very blue to me, can't see any white on it. But pretty little violet spangle.

Many thanks - even better if she is a he - good breeding stock for next year. Think I will need to change the name from Missy though!!! Her/His cere was a real purple colour yesterday. Or is that just the light playing tricks???

Thanks. Now I need to have patience and wait for next breeding season hmmmmm. Just going through the stock and seeing what we want to keep and then what we can pair up. Thanks to Neville we have got right into the genetics.
