hi i have a baby budgie called alfie he eating and drinking but i have found poop stuck on his vent and its hard please can you help

just very genitally pull the few feathers from around his bum area so he can poo with out the poo sticking

or if you prepher carefully trip with sissors

id just pull them out

could just be sress from new inviroment

is he new ????

being he is new I wouldn't putt anything off especially if he is scared and you want to tame him. I would leave it and let him clean himself first if you find it is sticky I would suggest an avian vet visit. What do the dropping look like on the ground?

Gotta totally disagree with leaving it alone ....sorry.

Its urgent you remove built up poop as it can block the further passage of poop and toxins can build up in the body. Health FIRST, taming second.

Urgently get some lukewarm water and clean all the poop build up away.

then put white paper under the perches and observe the state of the future poops to assess its health level. Let us know what the bird is like and its poop afterwards.

and her ways much nicer than my way

can tell i breed showbirds now lol id have always washed a birds bumb but now i just pull away feathers but he will love you more if you just wash it gently

it will just be from being new and his new environment

as kaz said he will surley get unwell if left blocked
