Posted November 21, 201014 yr Hi. Well it has been a long time since I have been on this forum and now I come back with sad news. Scuttle flew away a couple of days ago. I wasn't home at the time but I heard what happened and it was just one of those things that no one could have prevented. We had a good 4 and a half years, he will be 5 next year and he was just perfecting his landing .... finally, as opposed to crash landing So I'm just hoping that wherever he has gone that he will be okay and stuff. He will be missed heaps, he's got quite a personality and attitude to match, so I think he'll be okay.
November 24, 201014 yr Author That picture is cute I don't think I've seen it, it looks recent-ish lol
November 24, 201014 yr Don't give up just because he flew away we have a good article in the FAQ about how to go about finding your budgie. You will be surprised how many budgies can be found again, and you will see some at the humane society or the local pound because of it. I would read the articles and certainly give it a go on leaving flyers, calling the local vet offices in your area, the shelters etc... Sorry to hear he flew away. Hi. I am going to move this post to the Lost and Found Budgie Section, maybe you can post more pictures of him of him and more information. (but not a phone number) you can tell someone to contact you privately. Edited November 24, 201014 yr by Elly adding
November 27, 201014 yr He most likely wouldn't make it in the wild. He'd be eaten, hit by a car, die of starvation or dehydration. He wouldn't be fine. Don't give up though, miracles have happened. Somebody lost a cocky here and 4 months later it turned up.
November 27, 201014 yr Author I didn't even see this section, so thanks for moving it. I also didn't think they could be found again being so small. I have been looking in trees and stuff as I'm on my way to places, but I will definitely check out those topics that were mentioned.

November 27, 201014 yr I know, just in a bad mood . I DO hope he returns, I'm just pointing out that he's not going to survive in the wild long-term or even short-term. I lost a cockatiel earlier this year and I went through ***.
