Thanks Dave,

I have a green hen with a very dark brown cere but she is not interested in 2 different males i have put with her.

how long should i leave her with one until i give up on her?

baron,

The dark brown cere is part of the problem. This means she is coming out of breeding condition.

Do not give up on her, but return her to the aviary at the moment. keep an eye on her, and when her cere starts to go a light tan, that is when she should be paired up, as long as she is not moulting. The male should also be in good health and have a bright blue cere.

How old is the hen by the way?

You have posted this in another area. I will delete the other doubled up topic.

MY ANSWER

Very dark brown cere is considered just past breeding condition and at the stage where it will peel away to reveal the whitish blue underneath of a hen not in breeding condition. How old is your hen ? How long have you had her ? Is it definitely a hen and not a male with hormone issues ?
