one of my hens has started to worry me,i have made an appointment with the avian vet tomorrow but thought i would ask here also. She appears healthy and is eating fine but has started sitting on the perch like the hunch back of nortradame she also constantly bobs her head up and down but not violently and no liquid gets flung everywhere so i dont think its vomiting ,she seems prehaps a little fluffed up but not overly so. Any ideas?

Get the avian vet to test for megabacteria.

That hunched look budgies have pretty much always indicates some health issue. Your instincts here are to be listened to, so get her checked for your own peace of mind. Make sure your avian vet is a good one.

yeah it was the hunched look that got me worried in the first place,have noticed that the head bobbing is mainly after she has drank. Dont have much choice when it comes to avian vets unfortunately as i am in Busselton( 3hrs south from perth)
