Cage Size

Featured Replies

Hi,

I joined up here because my sister was recently given 2 budgies for her birthday. They are fighting and she has been told that the current cage she has is too small. She had a budgie for 7 years in a good sized cage but seems we need a bigger one. Can anyone please tell me what is best sized cage for 2 budgies. She lives in a unit and prefer one that does not stand on ground but either sort okay. She is a pensioner and the budgies give her real pleasure and company. Also am looking for best place to buy well priced cage at correct size. (Sydney Northern Beaches). Any advice would be much appreciated. They are two males (we think).

Here in SA we have Cheap As Chips stores and they sell a good sized cage for $30. It is about (this is approx without actually measuring) 60cm long, maybe 45cm deep and possibly about that high as well. They come in black or white and I recommend them to a lot of people as they are a much cheaper buy than anything from a pet store and a really good size for one or 2 budgies :) I dont know if you have Cheap As Chips stores there, but I am guessing you would have something similar.....

Best size for these tow budgies is one thats 60cms wide by 45cms deep by 45 cms high ( or bigger )
