I am wanting to start hand training my budgie. He doesn't like/isn't interested in millet, so I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas on treats that i could use for taming?

I know how you feel, none of my 2 budgies like millet spray.

 

What i do is place a small amount of seed in the palm of my hand, making sure that the only way to get on is via my finger.

I use seed as a treat because pellets are their main diet, as well as fruit/vegies.

 

Really it about trial and error. Try something, if they don't like it, try something else.
