A stab in the dark- male. Olive green spangle. I'm terrible with greens but he isn't grey green because of the blue cheek patches.

Thanks ratzy,

Is the colouration / pattern on the wings with the outer cirle shapes being a grey an unusuall trait?

Definitely olive spangle. Some pics look cock some hen, im going with hen.

Agree with the others, spangle, olive green... Did you use a flash on all the pictures or just the 2nd last one? I'm gonna say cock...

The colouration on the wings you are talking about are the spangle markings... Not all that uncommon in pet and show type birds, but a nice mutation nevertheless... :) welcome to budgie keeping and the forum!!!

If there is any white on the cere its female. The photos vary although the first makes the cere look white so in that case its female. If that photo isnt showing it true to colour then we need better photos.

Spangle yes. Olive ? Why ? Looks grey green to me.

im with Kaz looks grey green and i believe its ahen although could just be the lighting. anyway it is a lovely bird.

Cos the cheek patches look blue not slate blue or grey? At least on my screen!

Thankyou for all your replys, I took the pictures on my phone. unfortunatly I wont be home for another 3 weeks to get some better images.

Jessie started out really shy and would hide under neath the food and water containers in the cage.

I was off work for a week and kept getting Jessie out of the cage. Jessy would get on and of my finger and when I held my hand flat and my arm straight, jessy would run up my armand sit on my shoulder. jessy also started to fly from where he was and land on my shoulderwhen he wanted some attention.

I'll pitch at spangle olive cock - at least until better photo's present themselves (hint hint rigger ;)). Cheek patches look too dark for me to say grey green but the pics are kinda ambiguous.
