Hey Guys,

 

So I've had Kadhi (formally known as Sparky ) for 5 days now, and today he made his first bit of progress and ate a millet spray from my hand.

I was sooo excited, but the parents decided to mention that tomorrow we are going away for the weekend o.o

All the other animals are going to be looked after by the neighbour, but I don't want to leave little Kadhi behind for the two or three days, especially since

he's so new and it could cause him to become more scared of me again.

 

My parents think it's a good idea to take him too, and Dad brought home a small budgie cage for me to take him in, but even still...

I'm really worried the travelling could scare him alot, and there-for put us back to the beginning.

Best plan is to take him too. Travel is best not perching but on the base of the cage. Make it comfy. Dont try and have water in the cage for travelling...he can get moisture from seed or some silver beet or carrot. Take his seed...............dont forget it and try and substitute along the way.

Cover the cage so he doesnt frighten and to protect from draughts. Peg down any cage doors or he could be out and flown out the car window in a flash.
