Are Auctions Killing Our Hobby

Featured Replies

But GB I am not talking about beginner now, I am talking about bringing some feature from a certain breeder to improve what I have.

I think I can carry on the way I am for few years yet, well I hope anyway.

i know splat im talking know matter what level your at

good birds are their and so are good people

its just being in the right place at the right time sometimes other times you need to hunt it

but i dont believe you need to pay massive amounts to improve your birds

specially if you are clever cause their are a lot of birds brought then discarded every year from auctions that apparently dont work

these birds are normally just stressed out and needed time to be accustom to new home but instead were waked in a breeding cabinet soon as they got home :{

i have done this myself as i was told it was the way to go

but i do not believe this anymore the birds need the quarantine time to actually settle in .....but point is you could pick up a bird worth 15oo to 17oo for 50.00 to a hundred dollars due to a impatient breeder from the top placings or maybe a a expensive one that's no longer being used in their stud for 200.00 to 3oo.00 which in my eyes is big bucks and the most id probably go i truly believe if you work your stud slowly then basically your birds better themselves its mainly the incoming cross outs that bring it backwards

why having a few lines with specific features works good you can cross your out birds out that way harder slower yes but in long run i believe satisfying
