Posted October 16, 201014 yr It is the interclub Nestfeather Show tomorrow. I am entering a few babies, but most of them have trashed their tails for some reason in the baby cage. Oh well, the judges may be forgiving of imperfections being that its a "baby" show. The show is being hosted by North East Budgerigar Society and competing with Budgerigar Society of South Australia (my club) and is at the Kilburn Community Hall, Le Hunte St, Kilburn.
October 16, 201014 yr Good luck tomorrow Sunnie, might see if i can make it but i have a very ill baby tiel at the moment so i'll see what he's like in the morning as to weather i can go.
October 16, 201014 yr I am entering a cinnamon grey-green cock bird in the young bird section, and I am also enetering a Grey-green TCB Opaline young UBC.
October 17, 201014 yr Author Hi Sunnie how did you and Squeak do today? Hi Libby I probably had the worst show I've had in a while, but the birds I would like to have entered are already too old and had broken their caps and I have others up and coming that are probably better too. I grabbed a handful of birds the right age to put in the show to support the show and as it was, there wasnt a great turn out. People said it was due to the ring date change and I know some that put birds down too early or too late to have babies in the UBC. I got a few places, but they were more by default. A novice from NEBS had much better birds than I do and did very well. It was a good day all the same Squeak took home a couple of lovely trophies Thank you for asking. (off topic) How is your tiel doing?
October 17, 201014 yr Thanks for asking but little Bing died last night. And i'm pleased you didn't come away empty handed,At last weeks meeting they were discussing the lack of birds that would be ready for this show and trying to come up with alternatives, mayby by next year the powers that be will have a solution.
October 17, 201014 yr Author Any Show results available? It was a pretty small show, so there are no pictures or at this point, official results on paper, but J&W Weidenhoffer and Mulley & Stafford took out the majority of the open class varieties. And sorry to hear about Bing Libby Edited October 17, 201014 yr by Sunnie

Sorry for your 'tiel. I had to leave the show and go home to look after one of mine. She seems to be slowly fading away, I don't think she will survive the night. The ring mix-up will have resolved by next year hopefully Any Show results available? I don't know if there will be, as our website manager hasn't put up most of the show results for this year. I will ask tommorrow at our next meeting I took home best junior UBC and best young bird. I was happy, apart from the competition was me , myself and I They still look pretty though

October 18, 201014 yr So sorry about Bing Libby Well done Sunnie on even getting to the show! I really wanted to go, but I had a shaky first round with all that nasty weather. I bread successfully about 2 weeks too late and my birds are too young to show... they are out of the boxes but are not perching yet... Well done Squeak and Crumble on your prizes too
