White DF Spangle with blue suffusion? Just guessing as both parents look to be Spangle.

Someone with more experience may be able to help :(

Yes, he is a DF Spangle. He has suffusion, but you don't say that when you say his mutation. He is just a white DF spangle. I am thinking the parents are

Mum- Light Green Opaline Spangle

Dad- Sky Blue Opaline Spangle

I'd describe him as a very cute white budgie with a pretty orange beak and little black eyes :)

He's a cute little boy and looks very tame too - sweet!

How come you wouldn't say that with his mutation? *confused* I thought you do as it's part of the colouring of the bird? Plus it saves Steve having to ask the question about the blue later on, as I know some people don't know why there would be blue (or green if a DF was yellow) was there.

I too think the parents are those mutations, though at first I wasn't too sure on the hen.

It's like havinga spangle with muddy wings markings.

If you are later on going to breed that bird, to a noraml green for example, you wouldnt say. The cock is a DF Spangle Blue with suffusion to a normal green hen. The suffusion has no imapct on the chicks from that clutch )green spangles). Its like saying. I am putting a dirty marked clearwing to a blue spangle with muddy wings. You don't need to know those extra details on the markings. The best example I can think of is. I am putting a dark marked cinnamon blue to a blue hen. You would just say cinnamon blue to blue.

Does that make sense?

Thanks nubbly5, that is how the daughter described him + she wants to keep him.

Also thanks to all for your help.
