hey everyone im new to the hobby of budgies, although my father had kept them for years when i was a kid and one day i decided to have a crack at them myself as ive always been interested in them, being a builder by trade it was easy for me to make myself a aviary, and i was able to track down some breeding cages through a guy from my work, as id like to get into the whole showing scene maybe after a year or two. ive managed to track down some nice birds from a breeder a couple of hours drive from me who was only to happy to help and has been really helpful. im going to go pick them up on the 23rd. ill post some pics of them just as soon as i can :( th_PICT0050-1.jpg?t=1286685777th_PICT0057-1.jpg?t=1286685777th_PICT0054-1.jpg?t=1286685777th_PICT0052.jpg?t=1286685777these are the birds that im getting on the 23rd ;)

Those are some very nice birds to be starting with. I started with some very average quality birds and have only moved on to the more expensive / showy types after about 1.5-2 years breeding, much like you plan to do. However, having better birds to start with is great too as long as they dont cost you too much and breed well for you :)

Just a question - who was the breeder you got them from and where are they? Those are nice birds
