September 30, 201014 yr Author mother looks normal light green father is a cobalt yf so if she is not split blue the chicks as kaz said will be all green but they will all be split blue themselves if that chick was theirs the opaline green then the father is also split to opaline and the chick is a hen as i said some posts up dad is not Opaline just normal yf cobalt My pair's first clutch of three produced 2 green and 1 blue... The first green (polly)looks very similar to the dad with his colourings and the second green has alot of yellow on her cap and back. The blue one is a cobalt colour but I have noticed a purply tinge around his rump.I have posted some photos previous of the babies on this topic,,,I am so fascinated that as they are getting older their colours are changing slightly..This afternoon Bolt (blue one) and Wattle (the green with lots of yellow) were sitting beside me on their perch nibbling at my skin as well as the seed i put down for them,,,they are just the best little animals
