Posted September 15, 201014 yr Hi Guys, I have a question about the triple C medication from Vetafarm. 1. When you do a pre breeding treatment how long do you do it for? 2. When you have chicks dying from yellow belly how long do you need to treat the parents for before you allow them to breed again and at what rate? Is it a higher rate than if your birds were healthy? 3. Does this medication need to be changed daily or is it stable in water for a couple of days? (i haven't used this product before but have heard good reports) Since making changes to my breeding set up i have had great success to chick survival rates but i have one pair that had all the eggs hatch but all the chicks died of yellow belly so i want to kick this problem in the butt quickly so i can get on with my plans for this breeding season. Thanks, Lib
September 16, 201014 yr I dont use triple C as a pre breeding program. I do once a year doxy treatment. I believe in Triple C as a very good and effective product. If chicks in a nest are having issues like yellowbelly or the nest is mucky, I put triple C in the parents water for a few days. If I have a sick bird that needs a crop feed...........the crop feed is handrearing mixture with some whole egg powder, some whey protein isolate and a portion of triple C. This blend has brought birds back from the brink of death and it works for me. I use Triple C in the water of any sick or "off" birds. It can be used over a few days without going off like doxy does. It is my medication of choice and I find it very good. Edited September 16, 201014 yr by KAZ

September 16, 201014 yr With the Triple C on the vetafarm website it says something that you should use Probotic to re-establish the gut flora. Is this necessary or just a recommendation? cheers, nitsuD

August 28, 20195 yr I agree that this triple c is a good product. I gave to my bird when they were sick and it work well. But, I wondering if it can be use during the breeding process since my birds already laid some eggs...
