Posted September 11, 201014 yr Hi all I have a budgie that lays down lol http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc499/...9_5872030_n.jpg This was the first time he did it. It was the day after I bought it. (I still don't know the sex of the budgie) http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc499/...es/IMG_1216.jpg It had done it many more times, but this is another picture I took of it lol. I named the budgie B.F.G (Big Friendly Giant) because it was really large compared to all the other budgies at the pet shop and he is also very friendly and cuddly I thought I'd post this here because I have never seen a budgie do that lol. September 11, 201014 yr If that is the green one in the gender section it is female ( don't quote me!!! ). It is only a baby, probably just out of the breeding cage, and baby budgies do that often ( never seen it myself, but in other breeder's pics ).
September 11, 201014 yr My babies do that. They're about 8 weeks. They cuddle up in a pack at the bottom of the cage. okay, now there's only 2 left it's not really a pack...

September 21, 201014 yr I have adult budgies that do that in the aviary. Scared the life out of me the first time I saw it, I thought something was wrong, but I have multiple birds that do it, mainly hens, but a few cocks as well
September 21, 201014 yr Yep same here Dave - I thought they were dead! Then when I make noise they all get up, stretch and fly to the perches. Must be taking a break on the floor.....
