September 10, 201014 yr That is shocking, they or he or she must be low life to do something like that, how horriable!!!!!!!!!!!
September 10, 201014 yr I can't say on here what I think should happen to these so called "people"...
September 10, 201014 yr That just breaks my heart . Whilst breeders who show Budgie are competative, surely everyone just does it for the love of these incredible birds. so how does it get to this????? i'm sure none of us could ever know the answer..
September 10, 201014 yr This sounds terrible, but hearing this made me feel better. What i mean by that is its comforting to know someone else is having worse luck than me with budgies. What happened to this guy is terrible, completely and utterly disgusting. Losing babies left right and center like me is one thing, but malicious crime, animal murder and theft is just the pits. My heart goes out to this guy.
September 10, 201014 yr sadly this sort of thing happens more often than you think ive heard all sorts storys from many different breeders of birds despairing ., being taken from nests and even eggs going missing personally just the nasty comments about breeders i hear all the time at shows disgusts me these people that should be able to be proud of making it to a place of recognition having to start over from scratch because of jealous people out to destroy their progression either by tainting their name or worse as with this poor chap lucky theirs also the good who will go out of way to help him obtain quality birds again im sure. it wont replace what he lost but the generosity should build his hopes again you can never hold a good pird person down no matter what happens they come back usually twice as quick and good Edited September 10, 201014 yr by GenericBlue
September 10, 201014 yr Monday when Geoff was here I was showing him my birds and we were in the baby aviary and I was looking for my violet spangle hen and I said to him well she was here this morning, anyway we were looking everywhere, the only place she can get out is into the next breeding room but the door was clipped anyway I went in there checked every crook and cranny and no bird. I said to Geoff I think I have been robbed because I was admiring her in the morning and she was there and now she is not, I said to him why would they take her and not the violet spangle cock who is stunning, vibrant in color and the works. Anyway to cut the story short she was in the main aviary, I forgot I moved her, I am forgetting in my old age But it did scare me thinking that someone has come into the yard pass Jake who probably just linked them to death and stole my violets. I plan on getting locks now because of my scare.
September 10, 201014 yr omg i now off a few birds going missing hear i am so geting locks now to i feel so bad bad from him i dont think i will have a heart left it kills me now going and seeing a dead bird on the floor
September 10, 201014 yr Locks wont do it alone if a person is determined to get in and take or kill your birds. AND when you think about it all they need is a pair of wire cutters in most cases to cause you a world of pain and heartache. Security cameras........the kind that arent visible may well be able to point fingers in the right directions after the event. Or a combination of all things. I use a few methods of security when not at home. But there is rarely a time where we are both away from home at the same time. I feel badly for this man who has had to pick the smashed body of his best bird off the floor It absolutely had to be a competitor who was losing his position due to this breeders birds. Shouldnt be too hard to work it out upon investigation one would think Edited September 10, 201014 yr by KAZ
September 14, 201014 yr My answer - BIG NASTY German Shepherd Dog! Ours works well as a deterent and she's not nasty at all, just big and looks like she means business. But this is a complete tragedy. After years of work something like this would be the end of the hobby for me - poor guy! Some people just have way too little to worry about if winning a d*mn budgie show means THAT much to them. Hope they catch the &*^&%%^ that did this (the problem would be proving it I assume)..... Can you imagine turning up to a club meeting only to be thinking that it was one of those people that stomped half your budgies to death???
September 29, 201014 yr That's just disgusting! How terrible, I feel so sorry for him and his budgies sake
