It's a sky dominant pied,it's mother was a double factor dominant pied,i know this because she has been with three different cocks & bred nothing but pieds, her parents where both dominant pied so she is one of the 25% or is that 50% not sure? ,so i am reasonably sure she is a double factor. If she was a double factor grey the youngster would have to be a grey pied.

If you could wait till she has finished breeding in aprox two months i would be happy to.

Lovely pied, love the head and mask, well done Phill ;)

No Worries. ;)

The hen doesnt look to be DF dom pied to me. Even if all her chicks were pied to date, the expectations of breeding is taken over many clutches not just two. You may have just been lucky to get all pieds first two clutches with her.

You are probably right Kaz,i know d/f dom pieds have a lot more pied marking's than usual. The percentage is 25%, i had to look that up By The Way.If i get some more chicks looking like the one above i will be happy. It will be interesting to see if the next round are all pied ,i will keep you updated cheers Phill

Correct me if I am wrong PJI

But i think what he means is looking at the blood lines behind the parents, as in father and mothers, grandparents etc.

Like putting two birds that are quite oridnary to look at , but have parents that are very nice birds. Like history.

We have found through some posts that pieds can vary so much in how they look, so its hard to know sometimes and anyway your hen is behind the cock bird too :emoticon112:

But that chick is to die for !!! You would have to be real happy with that.

Spot on Squeak_Crumble, In my opinion the parents are very ordinary visually, however the father/uncle/& aunty of the sky cock where all visually stunning ,so i new he had something to offer from hes background.

Very nice :emoticon112: Great top end and long mask. Good job :gday:
