Posted August 26, 201014 yr 10 new additions, fallows and splits I picked up yesterday from a club member who is quitting birds. 9 are John Flanagan bred and 1 baby, club member bred. I'm excited but scared because I've been told they are hard to breed, hens are brutal in the nest box(?) and to have foster parents ready. fallow cock 07' and spilt fallow cock 06' split fallow hen 09' and fallow hen 08' fallow hen 10' and fallow hen 07' fallow hen 08' and fallow cock 06' spangle split fallow cock 08' and grey green opaline split fallow hen 10' (8 weeks old) Quarantine

Good for you going for one of the rarer breeds as well. Thank you Kaz. Probably not the best variety for a beginner but I'm very lucky to have got them. I'll keep a breeding journal when I start pairing them. And thank you birdluv  Edited August 27, 201014 yr by rachelm
August 27, 201014 yr well their no harder than anyother birds to breed and may not be bad in the nest for you some birds just dont like their environment and breed like winners for others but heed the advice and have fosters ready encase o9 split fellow hen is very nice indeed as is o7 fellow hen although her variety in general is not brilliant shes a lovely bird 010 will turn out rather nice i think some nice picture ups rach
