I noticed that my 4-year-old male budgie has somewhat plum eyes, the iris ring is redish, but the eye seems to be black. The iris ring loses it´s colour on flash taken pictures showing more white colouring.

 

The colour of the budgie is green df dominant pied spangle greywing and he is a possible ino or/and German fallow carrier.

Could the ino and/or G.fallow allel activated in the eyes, be the couse of the plum eyes.

 

Here is a picture of him. The picture is taken with flash light, but still you can see the eyes aren´t clear white.
