Posted August 19, 201015 yr I never thought this was possible, the mother is the cockatoo the father is the galah. The person who bred them said they are called cockalahs, real photo's "not photoshopped".
August 19, 201015 yr Very attractive bird I agree there! It is possible, there is also such think as a galatiel, Galah X 'tiel.

August 19, 201015 yr I have seen several galah X corellas in wild flocks near our home. The are amidst a flock of corellas.
August 19, 201015 yr Tis rather attractive. Seems the salmon colour comes through with this hybrid as it does the corella/galah hybrid. Not sure if the same rules apply by in mammals the name is derived from the combination of the parents name but the sire is first followed by the dam. i.e. a male zebra and a female horse is called a Zorse, the other way round is a Hebra. So with that in mind the hybrid bird would be a Galatoo.
August 21, 201015 yr what a beautiful bird! i love the colour!! its combined the best traits from each bird i just hope this doesnt happen in the wild though, i like to think that things are natural in the wild and species remain pure but i would definatley have one as a pet! love the apricot salmon colour!!! did you know this person personally PJI ??
August 21, 201015 yr A cousin of my husbands who was staying with us for a few days recently, lives in the country on farming land. He was telling us of hybrids he has seen amongst flocks and some that travel all alone. He saw amongst a flock and many many times on his farm, a pure yellow 28 parrot. This is what a 28 parrot looks like http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3085/256138..._ae03fb72ae.jpg and the hybrid he saw was all over yellow with pale lime green suffusion on wings and tail. After seeing it on a regular basis he was going to try and catch it. However some teenagers in a close by farmhouse who had been given airguns recently shot it and killed it for fun He also saw on its own a pure red rosella parrot with no additional colouring at all................just red. he has also seen pure yellow corellas.
