Hi all i am new to this forum and also a new bird owner. My bidgies name is Tweety and i think something is wrong with him. He has this white thing growing next to his beak and his eye and he has a funny looking claw. Can anyone help me? I dnt know what to do

I think the only person who can help you with your bird would be an avain vet. I suggest that you take your bird to an avian vet ASAP to find out what is wrong with your budgie. Is Tweety showing any other signs of distress or illness? Can you describe his problems in a bit more detail?

No he's fine, he still eats and drinks and chirps and stuff he just has something growing on him! Im really worried.

Well even if it isn't affecting his behaviour a growth isn't good. I still feel you should at least ring an avian vet and ask their opinion. Ringing can't hurt because it'll give you a proffesional opinion and it's cost free.

your vet can give you a treatment for the scaley face mites. it is quite easiliy treated and nothing really to worry about.

 

i would never trust mite sprays and lotions you can buy in shops...its always best to get supplies from your vet.

hmmm i was thinking scaley face too, its easily treated as pixiesaid

Im all cried out after my boy Jo.

 

Get him to a vet - if aything was 2 happen to him like what happened to me and u didnt take him to a vet, Guilt is very painful,I know, i feel VERY guilty about my Jojo.
