Posted August 15, 201014 yr Hi guys. Here are just some general pictures + Soft food time of my aviary birds. All of them are show birds, but quite bad quality haha. Some of them are from a couple days ago ( the worse quality of the large aviary) but most are from 20 mins ago General Aviary Shots: (Mrs. Fatso. From forum member Liv. It was a bit chilly today, so she was a little fluffed. Her name is Banana) 3 Bachelors: I will add more when someone posts! Edited August 15, 201014 yr by KAZ
August 15, 201014 yr They're lovely S_C. I love your clearbodies and your three bachelors. Do any of your birds eat the wattle?
August 15, 201014 yr BHAHAHA Mrs Fatso looks funny as lol i want one lol lol lol lol :)I have noticed also that in the aviary. The birds seem to much rather sitting on a actual tree branch rather that a long straight piece of dowl?
August 16, 201014 yr Is your aviary soil floor ? No. Why? I have a big tree pruning in a big pot with crushed rock in it?? (cutting is dead).
August 16, 201014 yr Author They're lovely S_C. I love your clearbodies and your three bachelors. Do any of your birds eat the wattle? They nibble around it a little, I found the younger budgies like rolling in it  BHAHAHA Mrs Fatso looks funny as lol i want one lol lol lol lol :glare: I have noticed also that in the aviary. The birds seem to much rather sitting on a actual tree branch rather that a long straight piece of dowl? All natrual, apart from one perch. It is cheaper, and I find the birds like it more  The peice of dowel is near the door, so not many picts of it cause it was near were I was standing. Birds also like chewing the branches. Is your aviary soil floor ? Yup, It is raked and cleaned out every weekend, and sweeped (until I get to the base). My base is basically rock hard clay/soil, even mice or anythig can't get through. I just realised it must look messy! Sorry, branches are always put in before cleaning, so I can take away the shredded leaves. Droppings and seed are the only things there. More pictures! I put some fresh gum leaves in this morning: Spot the budgie! The Aftermath: Cinnamon Grey-Green cock next to his cinnamon grey father (mum was a rec.pied cin. grey-green/blue) Just going through his second moult. He looks small next to dad, he just isn't as tall. Mum looked, so he acted guilty... I saw these two mating the other day :glare: Kindie Cage aviary shared with 'tiels. Only has 5 chicks in there, 4 cinnamons siblings + foster cobalt. There is 2 opaline sky blue cinnamon hens, 1 cobalt hen, one light green cinnamon cock, and one cinnamon opaline hen. I think I will be keeping the cock, green hen, and one of the op. cin. blues. 3 I am keeping: Couple of shots: Aftermath of their gum leaves: Edited August 16, 201014 yr by Squeak_Crumble

Only reason I asked is because my old aviary was soil floor and rats dug in and got to some of the birds.

Yup It's cool I am planning on getting a breeding room/ aviary next year or 2012, an it will have either tiles or concrete.
