Posted August 12, 201015 yr DF spangle on the Right is handicapped in the leg. I adopted this female budgie 4 months ago at a pet bird shop. It was already injured in the left leg at that time. Although it is able to hang on the cage with two legs, it stands just on one leg with the uncomfortable leg held up a little. When it moves along the perch, it seems to move its body weight mainly on the healthy leg. I didn't pay attention to that because it would recover from a little damage in nerves or ligaments in one or two months. However, it shows a little improvement after 4 months' period continuing to hold up its injured leg and foot. It just can move along the perch faster than before. Now, it is in the mating season. I wonder if it can mate successfully with its disabled leg. Edited August 12, 201015 yr by hans
