Hello everybody

 

Just wanted to drop by and give you all an update on my flock, I'm very inactive in this forum, thinking I haven't posted in more than 9 months or so..

 

But anyways.. since I last posted I've set up a pair in early March and four beautiful chicks came out of that clutch and here they are, all hatched in late march. Parents were a Violet greygreen opaline cock split for blue and an albino hen masking opaline, both with one dark factor

 

Four males split for ino, 22 - 26 days old. I kept all four.

 

Here they are now at 4 months old

 

Greygreen opaline / ino

 

 

Violet skyblue opaline / ino

 

 

Grey opaline / ino

 

 

Violet olive opaline / ino

 

 

Right now I have three pairs set up with a total of 14 chicks ranging from 5 to 20 days old. I don't breed Show types just Pet types.

 

Here's two of my chicks

 

They are not siblings, the one at the top is being fostered. The one at the bottom is the offspring of a skyblue normal cock and a goldenface violet skyblue opaline hen.

 

 

I'll show you more pictures once they all feather up, all 14 of them :rofl:

Oh yes he is a very big boy! and he is also a violet, which was a nice surprise since I wasn't aware of it even though it was suspected because of his vibrant color :rofl:
