That was very interesting to watch. Don't think I could do it though.

Yea, me neither. But I guess if I have to, you gotta do what you gotta do. I've read that you get used to it after trying it a few times. I'm just scared I might mess up, and get it down her airway instead.

Hope your little guy gets better soon. Just watched those 2 videos, very interesting. I think i'll go practice holding some birds today.

I tried holding her, HARD with big hands like mine.

Okay, going to go to the vets very soon. How big of a needle would you reccomend I ask for? If I get no replies, I guess I'll go with a 14 gauge? I read that in the crop needling part, maybe I should ask for a couple different sizes just in case. Wish us luck!

-Update 2-

I went to the vets today, and it went pretty well. We discussed a few possibilities as to what to do, and what could be causing them to be sick. I asked her if they had any of those tubes available, but she said they don't have any that are for crop needling.

Anyway, we ended up asking about the exotic vet she mentioned before. She said he stopped running his place, but she called a place anyway and got two different numbers of exotic veterinarians!

They are both about 3 hours away in a city, but we are going to head up there Friday and check it out. I hope the budgies don't stress about it too much. We are going to be staying over night so we are going to try to find a place that allows pets.

Wish us more luck!

We didn't end up going that Friday, not yet. But I sent them an email talking about our situation. Their location is 3 hours away, so our food, gas for the car, and where we are going to stay if we stay overnight is going to add onto the cost of whatever it costs to bring them to the actual vet. We can't afford it right now at all, so for now I'm sending emails back and forth with them.

They have helped me out so far by trying to figure out what is the cause of them becoming sick. I put a de-humidifier in there to help them and Koko looked so much better! (She was puffed up more, I think it was too humid in there)

I'm still waiting for another email reply from them to see what else I can do, so what do you guys think I should do for now?

I still have some Baytril left, do you think I could use it? I'm sorry I can't bring them to the vets since we can't afford it, but we are trying to figure something out.

You ask for a 14 guage crop needle, and these can be bought online. Best you get shown how to use one by a vet though.
