How Do I Clean My New Breeding Cabinets

Featured Replies

Hi I have recently recieved some new breeding cabinets they are a little messy how should I go about cleaning them?? They are made of MDF.

Thanks Jack!

MDF will absorb any water, cleaning product and poop. Have they been painted or sealed in any way ? If not why are you using MDF cabinets which will soak up any moisture and be harmful to birds if they chew it ?

One second I will double check what wood ext is used..Sorry. They are built with a timber frame and have a 8mm ply board attached. How do i clean them? Should i paint ext..?

do you have trays underneath the perches ?

anything else would be scrape and clean, vacuum out scrub walls with white vinegar sprayed on. Sandpaper any grotty perches or walls if they wont come clean.
