Posted July 6, 201014 yr Hi, I'm just wondering, if anyone can tell me what's going on with the tail on the white budgie? This is the first born chick of my first clutch (49 days old now). I took them to the vet to be checked over, and have their wings trimmed, and the tail was fine then. Ten days later, this is the result. The two chicks are in a smaller cage until my other one is free'd up, but they do spend several hours outside the cage flying around the house. Should I be worried about it? Robyn
July 6, 201014 yr it looks like it has been chewed on probably by her or the other bird. Babies tend to do that. :fear Edited July 6, 201014 yr by splat
July 6, 201014 yr agree with Splat....other budgies chewing it. Sometimes happens due to cage climbing too. But looks chewed :fear

July 6, 201014 yr awww they are really cute!! was there only 2 in the clutch? they are nice, anymore pictures?? !! :fear
July 6, 201014 yr Author thank you Alpaca Boy, there were four in the clutch. These two were the most friendly so I have been taming them to keep inside my house. I have the other two in separate cages, one I am working a lot with also, as a friend wants one, and the other is in a cage on it's own, it will step up on your finger, and you can pick it up, but I haven't worked with it as much, I think I will put it in the big cage with it's parents and the other pair I have eventually. I will try and get some more pics up soon, as I still am unsure of the sexes of them.
