Hi,

just thought id post some pics of my updated aviary,

instead of having a huge 2 sided aviary i closed off quarter of one aviary so they have 1 whole aviary and a quarter as their flight. hard to see in pics.

i now have room to put in some breeding cages now finally!

anyway i was wondering what my yf grey cock and my opaline grey hen would produce?

Thanks

YES she is opaline :P

You need to go around inside your aviary with some wire cutters and pliers and address any bits of wire sticking out like in this photo

especially if any of your birds have legrings on that will get caught on the wire sticking out.

i was meaning to fix the wiring after ive got caught on it several times too lol, :P

thanks will do that :P

Yes really important to make sure there is no wire bits sticking up because when we did my baby aviary the year before last to my horror I found a young budgie caught of on the top of the door just hanging by his leg. He was like that all day poor little fella, I was lucky his leg mended but it was almost cut off because the ring got caught on a little tiny bit of wire that was sitting up.

It is true to say if there is any danger in the aviary a budgie will find it.
