Posted June 20, 201015 yr Hi Everyone, I've had Humpty for 6 weeks he's been in quarrentine for 4 of those weeks, for as long as i've had him he has always been a a big eater, but didn't think much of it as he seemed to be a buff bird. However in the last week he has been sleeping more and is fluffed up, today i've noticed he is a bit wet around his beak feathers. And his keel bone is very prominent i have in a cage with a lamp next to it and have given him water with ACV. Does it sound like Mega? thanks Libby.
June 20, 201015 yr I am not sure, Libby but it could be canker. Have a look at this post and see if the symptoms match. Canker

Canker Thanks Catherine,he dosn't have wet loose droppings and is not sneezing but all other symptons match. Can he still have canker without those two symptons present? Libby.
June 21, 201015 yr The only way to be sure, Libby is to get a test at the vet's. A fecal smear will reveal megabacteria and a crop wash will show if it is canker.
