Posted June 19, 201014 yr Hi there, I know there are already questions about this but do you mash up the boiled egg and mash the egg shells in with it to? I have never given them this can you please help as to what i do? thanks
June 19, 201014 yr I don't boil the egg. I beat it lightly then microwave it and get a flat omelette. I slice it up, give the birds some and put the rest in the fridge. I guess you could smack the shell with a rolling pin, mix it in with the beaten egg and see if they eat it.
June 19, 201014 yr I boil the eggs for 10min then remove them from the shell and mash them up with a fork, I also mash a scotch finger biscuit with the egg
June 19, 201014 yr Shells have to be cooked well and longer than cooking of the egg itself and dried before crushing up as they carry "bugs"
June 19, 201014 yr I cook the egg in the microwave, then I nuke the egg shell till it is really brittle, then I crunch it up with a mortar & pestle and mix in with the egg, and give it to them that way. Robyn
