June 11, 201015 yr We do need more pics. Hs looks opaline but his wing patters look normal. he looks green but the blue rump area would indicate he is a YF or GF blue bird.

June 11, 201015 yr It is a single factor Goldenface Sky Blue. NO Opaline. Opalines show wing mirrors and this bird does not have them. I really don't like the look of this bird. It just doesn't look like a very healthy bird. Maybe it was a runt of the clutch?
June 11, 201015 yr Author Thanks guys. It isn't my bird and it is sitting in a draft. I suggested for them to move it out, up higher. Poor thing is apparently overweight.
June 12, 201015 yr That bird needs a bigger flight cage. less perches and for the owners to reassess the content of its seed. If a standard mix with hulled oats the oats need to be removed from the seed mix. That bird needs to FLY and exercise or it will get sick. and a possibility it has a ruptured air sac maybe ? June 12, 201015 yr Author I'll give her that advice........ she usually takes my advice very well. I have sent her an email. I've told her that there are good quality cages at permuans for $35 and I can lend her money if her parents don't think he needs a larger cage. If her parents don't agree I could board her budgie at my place to wean him onto vegies and excersize.
June 12, 201015 yr Does look like a chubby boy indeed. As far as the colour goes you guys have it sussed so I wont waddle into that
