i just read about an aviry with quails budgies cockateils and guniea pigs.. is this safe? if so are there any other animals that you can mix in an aviary?

I certainly wouldnt mix fur and feathers andy. Physicaly they may not attack or harm, but spores and infection from poops etc, well, i just wuldnt.

I don't think fur and feathers is a good mix either. I just never would have even considered it.

i know i thought it was a bit strange when i read it, though it would be nice if i knew it wouldnt cause any problems.

there are also a lot under 'hairless guinea pig', so no fur, should be fine? no? :blow:

(Laughing out loud) the poor little pigs would get pooed on and their food would get pooped in! i would stick to quails. i think quails are such funny little things. aparently they eat up all the scraps of food that are left on the bottom by the budgies. :glare:

well that would be good because my budgies think its fun to throw all their food to the bottom (Laughing out loud), cant quails fly atall?

I don't know....they're so sweet though! :glare:

Quail's flying capacity is about the same as chickens from my experience with them a few years ago. They can sort of jump and flap their wings and get them a distance/height. But they can never fly like budgies or weeros though.

Your right! It does look a bit hippoish! Luckily they aren't as dangerous as hippos though!

Oh yeh like the "catfish" "sheepdog" "spidermonkey" they were cool.
