Hi guys

 

Need some advice here cos this ones a little bit confusing... got this Pied today to replace a similar colour one I lost to a hawk a few weeks back... thing is im not sure if he is a sky blue or cobalt.

 

He is currently in a breeding cabinet that I have got that I use as a makeshift quarantine cage that is a fair distance from the other birds.

 

Can anyone tell me what he is?

 

My guess for the type is Dominant Pied, he does seem to have a little bit of violet about his face

Its a little hard to see but he appears skyblue just in the middle of his front and the rest is cobalt blue.. he has a defined white iris ring as well, if anyone can tell a rough age??

 

 

 

 

 

cobalt and possibly even skyviolet which can be easily confused with cobalt.

Kaz your too good, how would one tell the difference between skyviolent and cobalt? is there any difference in cheek patches etc?

 

Cant wait till i get a digital SLR, this camera sucks for bird pics!!
