Posted May 22, 201014 yr For future reference......just wondering what the age limits are for fostering.... I realize all hens will be different, but general rule of thumb? Newly hatched chicks can be fostered only to newly hatched chicks? or up to a week old? If eggs are a few days off hatching can you put a fodter chick in that nest? Common sense tells me you couldn't put a day old chick with a 3 week old clutch...or can you? I'm not having this problem at the moment but just wanting to know...... Thanks!
