July 15, 201014 yr Author She is one of Geoffs hens and he said she throughs big babies, he has got his best babies from this hen so I thought I would give her ago. Yes I know that pied is huge and he really is a big bird but some of his siblings were small so it will be interesting to see but there is only one baby.
July 15, 201014 yr Author some more pairs and babies This pair is sky violet spangle cock brother to Gbs hen  he is with a dilute hen she is really a bit narrow across the cere and head but she she cost me a bit I will give her ago  This pair ...My main boy yellow Df spangle cock and his grandaughter a grey spangle hen  This pair my violet hen and Geoffs grey green cock  This pair Grey cock full brother to the violets and yellow Df spangle hen full sister to the white boys  Sky op spangle baby... not a good picture  grey green baby  This pair yellow df spangle hen sister to the other one above and her uncle a grey green cock  this pair my violet cock and Goeff's grey cinn hen, so far this cock has fathered 11 babies maybe 12 by tomorrow and they are all nice.  More pics of babies soon :hap:
July 15, 201014 yr Author Do you really think so or are you just being nice Because very unsure about things at the moment :hap:
July 15, 201014 yr Author Yes Shannon all the ones with Geoff's birds are outcrosses. crossing my fingers it works . And the ones that are related need to be brought back into my line.  Here are some more babies. These 2 are from my violet cock above (the one with the cinnamon hen) and a sky blue hen I got from the auction last year, they had 3 babies earlier this year 2 violet hens and the cinn violet opaline hen in the photo above. This time there are only eggs fertile again and 2 have hatch the other due tomorrow I think.  This baby is from the same violet cock above and another sky hen that I bred but unrelated they had 6 babies, 1 sky cinnamon hen, 1 sky cinnamon hen, 2 sky normals and 2 cobalt normals but maybe violet as they are looking violet but not sure yet. Have pics of the last 4 now but the 2 cinnamons are in the nest with the crazy hen so a bit hard to get a photo.  This is the other 2 here with the crazy hen taken last week, they are out of the nest now. The hen is so protective she wants to eat me but she is an excellent mum. all 6 babies are really big babies they fill your hand and it feels good.  I hope you enjoyed looking  And I really hope I got some fertile eggs because first time around I got 14 babies second time around 14 babies and now I have with the babies still to hatch if they do will be 10babies this time so I am really hoping for many more with all these pairs down.

Yes Nubbly me too, that one is catching my eye everytime I have a peek, like his dad I think, ( a chip off the block) hope anyway Their dad the violet is the one I won the shield with so am really crossing my fingers But this baby is really pretty lol and a boy, haha pretty boy
July 16, 201014 yr i also like that chick their doing good mate and they are good chicks and you do have some good birds and you do know what your doing so its all good from where i see it  the brother to my splat hen and the dilute if you cull any of them at all thats / dilute id be very interested as not only same line but split dilute and im needing that as dilute in my binos   but splat do me a favour dont cull anything till 18 months from that line as their slow developers i will post picture your hen when i got as she looked **** why you would have culled her
July 16, 201014 yr Author Okydoky GbI told Greg I am keeping all babies this year. not selling any. But so far even though I haven't bred many what I have bred is really good so far so when they moult they will be stunners well some of them anyway. They all seem to have the directional feather, Just hope they keep their tails as last year I had and still have some rippers but lost their tail at first moult and never grew babck, they always say when you have the feather you start getting that problem........ well I think it sucks because I can't show them.Is this her GB went searching but not sure

July 16, 201014 yr Author This would be her gawky stage maybe it is the wrong hen, tep see if you can find your picture, is it the picture I took when I advertised her or your picture because if this is the hen this is the picture I took. plus you can see this hen has protenial but I guess I was to hasty and culling, that's me lol Edited July 16, 201014 yr by splat

July 17, 201014 yr Author This has to be her before she left here (Ithink she must of went into that gawky stage afetr because I looked on photobucket as that is where all my pics are now because I computer crashed all gone forever, Anyway all birds I advertised to sell are on photobucket and this is the only hen I can find that around . I went into the forum for budgies sales but it only goes back till end 2009. I thought I might be able to find the post. Anyway keep looking
July 17, 201014 yr i will cause i want people to see the drastic difference some birds do before actually blossoming
July 23, 201014 yr Author Some more breeding pairs This pair is totally unrelated Clearbody cock, he drops away at the bum this bird so I hope the hen makes up for that Dark green hen  This pair , sorry bad picture. Is light green cock and grey op spangle hen, they both have the same father, my wow bird. The cock has good directional feather and blow which the hen lacks, he is stretched in this photo as he was nervous of the flash going off. But he is a good size bird.  Remember the sky hen, the crazy one, here she is. I have her in a wire cage with her babies and she doesn't even attck me now, she was just being a good mum. She has 2 of her babies with her and the other 4 are in a different nest. butter wouldn't melt in her mouth now  one of her babies a sky cock, third oldes I think  The eldest, sky blue cinn op hen  second eldest sky blue cinn hen  and the nest with 3 left in it
July 23, 201014 yr That blue on the left is really something - gorgeous babies Splat. And that green cock is a ripper - if you ever want to sell him can you ring me first?!
July 23, 201014 yr Author Thanks Nubbly, I got that cock ready for the young bird shield cut his blue ring off and left the red one on because he was hatched late September and I double ringed. BIG mistake because it was confusing, anyway cut his ring off and he lost his tail feathers that night. So I was soooooo annoyed because the older he gets the better he gets. Can't show him as a young bird next year now.  Sorry won't be parting with him as he is a lovely bird and very valuable as normal to my breeding.  But if I breed anything like him I will let you know  Yes that little fella is going to be nice is a half nephew to the lt green.
July 28, 201014 yr Author Yahoo Gb that sky violet cock brother to your hen has filled an egg, hen has 3 eggs and first one is fertile, wow so excited as it is the first time he has filled and you said last year that because he busted his wing he wouldn't be able to do it but he did   The violet that is dad of most my babies so far this year which is 12 young and more to hatch yet well remember be hurt his wing too and can't fly now either but he is doing his job and what a great job he is doing  Actually it is proving that my cock birds here breed better when older 18 months and on. So i had thought that earlier but now I am quite sure so I am keeping the young cocks till next year to breed with. Edited July 28, 201014 yr by splat
July 28, 201014 yr thats great news splat not sure i said that but could have said possibly may have difficulty as need wings to hold on and balance so maybe i did say it  but wouldntbe able to doesnt sound like me im not usually so defenent in my wording  im glad your going to keep your young cocks longer as i belive that cocks 3 years old are just entering prime myself and never hesitate at trying an older bird speshily a good well breed one
