Marigold is favouring one foot and limping. I looked at it and it does seem swollen. Do I take her to the vet?

Also, I noticed something that looks like blood on the chicks beaks and facial feathers. On second thoughts, it is strawberry juice.

Right. Tommorow then after school. Luckily I have money saved up in case of this sort of thing happening.

Took her to the vet. Unfortunately they have no vet on 'duty' at the moment. The lady knew what she was talking about, but I knew everything she said. Like using a variety of perches and branches instead of wooden dowel ones.

Didnt you make an appointment with an avian vet ?

Ratzy, was this a Vet nurse or just the receptionist??

I don't think a swollen leg has anything to do with perches??

We don't have an avian vet and I don't know where to make an appointment. No, she didn't charge us. When I said swollen I meant her foot. She still isn't gripping the perch properly.

Total waste of time going then. You are no better off than you were before you took her
