Posted April 20, 201015 yr Hi there, I have just bought my new budgie today and have put in to chirpy s cage. I noticed they were chatting to each other and preening. But Whenever my new budgie gets on the same perch, Chirpy starts raising his foot and attacking the new budgie. Is this fighting or is this play fighting? :rofl: Edited April 20, 201015 yr by KAZ
April 20, 201015 yr Reaf the FAQ section on QUARANTINE............remove the new budgie to another cage. PS he thinks the new budgie is there to mate with. Lifting the leg is trying to get on and mate. Edited April 20, 201015 yr by KAZ
April 20, 201015 yr I agree with Kaz completely. You have another topic speaking about the shivering part is this while he is in the cage with your existing bird or have you separated as advised?

April 21, 201015 yr Have you separated the birds because if he is unwell he can easily spread that to your exisiting bird. When he shivers is it only when you come by the cage to look at him?
