April 30, 201015 yr Author Thank you, KAZ. I love photography and I love my birds (budgies+cockatiels) so it is great to combine both passions.
April 30, 201015 yr What a beautiful bird. It's so nice to see happy birds. But I have a question, Is there something wrong with her beak? Scaly face mites? I'm not too experienced, but.. I Don't think that's right? I don't mean her cere.. Her beak.
May 1, 201015 yr What a beautiful bird. It's so nice to see happy birds. But I have a question, Is there something wrong with her beak? Scaly face mites? I'm not too experienced, but.. I Don't think that's right? I don't mean her cere.. Her beak. Are you meaning the mum??If so.....no she has been feeding her chicks and regurgitating food so a bit of it goes "crusty"......she is in perfect health... I'm moving away from pet types and breeding more show types these days..... well trying That's great. I was thinking about breeding for show, but I think I will just breed big pet types for a bit longer as I enjoy combining all the mutations and colors too much.I love that part of it too!!! love seeing what colours I'm going to get......

I will keep him. Just love him and he turned out to be the best dad and the babies are lovely....I noticed the pouch cheeks too .  I took some photos of the green spangle/ino chicks today as well. I will post them here.  This is the dad. Light green spangle split albino from GB. The photo is not very good, doesn't show his lovely spangle markings.  And this is mum. She is a Yf (maybe golden face) albino. The photo is an old one. She is much more yellow now:    They've got 6 chicks. 3 dark eyed ones and 3 red eyed ones. The 3 youngest are still naked, so no photos yet.  Here some photos of the older babies: I think this one is a light green spangle like dad:   I think #2 is a YF normal blue:   And #3 is albino: Edited May 1, 201015 yr by lealotta

I hope for you that he got the cinnamon from his dad and not his albino mum. didn't want to upset your breeding plan.  can you please explain why it is no good to have cinnamon in albinos? does it result in albinos with cinnamon markings?

I hope for you that he got the cinnamon from his dad and not his albino mum. didn't want to upset your breeding plan.  can you please explain why it is no good to have cinnamon in albinos? does it result in albinos with cinnamon markings?   well some people dont really care and like to use cinnamon for feather then washing it out with double dark grey cock birds myself i do care i wanted to breed albinos with out cinnamon as yes it does give a slight suffusion in wings and sometimes spots which is a no no for judging at show big no no also shows up the blue sufussion also if bird is blue not grey  i have been told conflicting storys on the cinnamon hen thing one i was told that hens ALBINO can not mask cinnamon so you will know if you breed a cinnamon albino hen and yet another person told me that that was cods wollop that albinos mask everything even cinnamon and its to do with the melemiam lightning albinonisum thinggy in their make up :hap: if you understand that  myself personally i would rather not use cinnamon and id rather use deep black marked cock birds in grey also should try not to use grey blue birds as you can end up with blue chicks one may just be the only albino you breed that season from your split cock lets say and as i have found you need to make sure that if your going to be buying / albinos from a stud or auction you really want to try find out if their split to cinnamon or not as although you can wean it out its normally your best hens who turn out to be the cinnamon albinos grrrr my foundation for my albino line is in my view all the wrong elements hes grey blue hes split cinnamon split opaline and possably split to dilute as well as split albino his full albino brother as i havent had a issue with the chicks hes producing infact they are very good im not sure if hes split cinnamon but do know he would be split opaline for sure possably dilute also  my probblem is that my grey although hes a great birds has given me nothing but cinnamon hens including my albinos all very nice and the albino is my second best albino chick but is cinnamon so yes i could use her yes i could breed other birds with her just cull the cocks but id rather not as with my memorrie id forget doesnt matter how many recorlds i kept id still end up being tempted to keep good cock knowing their split albino infact im sure the mother is also cinnamon albino i havent had any cocks from them ever only ever hens so but only breed them twice rezulting in three chicks cinn albino hen cin opaline sky blue and a grey all which i have two cull unfortunately as all beautiful birds but i really want to try wean the cinnamon out im going to pair my split albino grey to a dark winged spangle hen i have shes a cf1 bird see if i get better results if not i may need to use him for my cinnamon line in which i have not started as yet as been concentrating on my albinos and just breeding some big normal hens not in cinnamon a few have been Opaline though but thats fine  so in the long run its you decishion but myself i say no to cinnamon albinos keep the cinnamon for your lacewings i say which at moment in time im also got on hold as for me to achive any decent lacewing chicks ineed deacent lacewing hens which i have not got so im useing my lacewing / cocks as normals for now intill a time i can get hold of a few nice lacewings as in size and i will be culling any lacewing cocks and hens till then unless their massive like fred was (just hopefully not deformed this time )  did i even awnser your question i dont know i think i just rambled lol sorry its late i should sleep mabe others would like to imput into  SHOULD YOU USE CINNAMON IN ALBINO BREEDING AND >>> IF NO WHY  FOR AND AGAINST  be interesting to see what others say specially the albino breeders out their pt what do you say ??? mr hawk ???? lol anyone else rainman you breed albinos dont you ????  any one else
