Yesterday I was lost in thoughts as to how I could better understand my budgies, know what it is like to be one... And after much thought, I decided that if I wanted to understand them better I would have to learn to fly...! Yes that right learn to fly...

 

Well my attempt at flying did not go so well, as I went flying (in my case falling) down some steps I have in the backyard and as I hit the ground with a nice solid thump (like your Holden car door does) I realise my foot was hurting... Ouch...! There was no time to sit there and feel sorry for myself, as mummy bird (me) had to get back to her nesting box (house) where her baby (10month old son) was waiting for her...

 

I soon realised my experiement was a complete success...! Yep you heard and read a success... I now understand my budgies alot better because I now have a sprained ankle so I walk around like a budgie with a sprained leg...!

 

 

What would you do to better understand your budgies...!

I would need a really thick and strong perch to hold me up...

 

I couldnt just post I was only walking down the stairs to my breeding room when it happen... How boring would that be... hee hee... But I did have to crawl back inside the house...

LittleBudgie, did you plant a post hypnotic suggestion in your post? i finished reading your post and went outside to get the washing in, and as i was coming down the steps in the garden to go inside down i went :rofl: I didn't hurt myself like you did,but i'm sure glad the house full of teenagers didn't see :hap:

if you did have to understand your budgies better by doing something id have to say my experiment is how well do they cope in the freezing cold with out sleep all night long lol as

ITS LIKE THE ICE AGE OUT HERE IN GIPPY

and i cant ever sleep

so what i learn t is that

1 ..they are fluffy as they toes are freezing off at bellow 10 degree out their at 11 pm and at 4 am its worse its a average of around 7 man no wonder their having a hard molt

best it gets is at about 3 pm where its 20 to 25 in aviary

and

2 . they also cant sleep cause its

LIKE THE ICE AGE OUT HERE

:party0011: lucky no kaz... No other injures but I'm sprained ankle... Walking alot better today... Looks worst than it is today... Yesterday I couldn't walk and it looked bad, plus I couldn't sleep in bed either slept on coach only place I was comfortable... But much better today, so no one feel bad for me just enjoy my spiced up story of it... I know I did writting it...
