First Egg Has Hatched

Hi Everyone,

I've had my first ever pinky hatch this morning :bliss: :):) but the shell has wrapped around another egg,I remember reading somewhere Kaz saying to remove it from the other egg, but not sure how to do it. Can i use a pair of tweezers and carefully flick it off?

Edited by KAZ

Congrats! Yes try to remove the extra shell as that can cause complications while hatching and may result in DIS. Good luck!

forget the tweezers, just ensure your hands are washed and dirt free.

Pick up the unhatched egg and take the shell off. Repleace the unhatched egg

simple as that.

It's really cute Ratzy i've only looked a couple of times so unsure if it's been feed yet

but i'll check again tonight. Luckily the egg shell was wrapped around an infertile egg it almost had a vaccum seal it was wedged on that tight.

Always remove spare eggshells for this very reason :glare:
