Hey, I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for cleaning rough concrete perches? On the instructions for the perch, it says to leave it soaking in water, but how long would that take? I ask because the concrete perch is one of my budgie's favourites, so I don't really want to take it out for hours or for days on end. Usually I just clean the perches using tissues, but I can't do it for the concrete ones because the tissue would get caught on the rough edges. So does anyone have any helpful tips or advice?

I scrub mine in hot soapy water. It does take a while to dry though - several hours at least.

Just a thought, if you got a second one, you could rotate them, one in the cage while one was soaking/drying. Although they are a bit expensive.

 

I haven't purchased one yet because I shudder when I look at the price for just a perch. *laugh* I'm a cheapskape, I know.
