March 31, 201015 yr Author Thank you. Finished showering. I will get a picture of the divider for you. Now I'll just finish uploading my pics. The reason I was allowed to seperate them was because mum actually witnessed Marigold pushing Thimble off the perch. Here are pics. Marigold is being nice. Dude is being innocent. What? Who me? I didn't poo on the curtains. Feel free to comment. Edited March 31, 201015 yr by Ratzy
March 31, 201015 yr Author Thank you! Pity you don't live near me.... or you could probably have her as she needs a good forever home. Uploading some more pics for you. What are you looking at? Why, it's queen Marigold herself! Aren't I beautiful? Edited March 31, 201015 yr by Ratzy
March 31, 201015 yr Thimble is lovely The chicks are doing really well. Well done with your first clutch!
March 31, 201015 yr Author Thank you. Hope I have just as much luck with my second! Marigold has been checking out the nest box and Skye is courting again. More pics tomorrow then... good night.
March 31, 201015 yr Author Not yet but am advirtising them. Mum knows someome who wants one so that's an option. I will upload some more pics.
March 31, 201015 yr If you havent a way of the babies finding new homes, it may not be a good idea to be making more budgie babies.
April 1, 201015 yr Author I have got ways, I haven't started advirtising them yet, but have made a poster. I took the nest box out because I thought that as well. More pics. Mum, dad and some babies. Regal Marigold. For some reason I can never get a good photo that shows Skye's true dark colour and violet cheek patches, so don't think he is sky blue. And babies. I had a fright with Lexi, flew out of the cage but I managed to pluck her out of the air in time. Â When somebody postr I'll do more pics, but for now that's all.
April 1, 201015 yr Very cute pictures Ratzy. How did you devide the bottom from the top? Wire or Wood? Edited April 1, 201015 yr by JimmyBanks
April 1, 201015 yr Author Uh..... sort of wood. Really strong cardboard with wood underneath to stabilize it. Thank you for the kind comment. I'll just upload some more pics then. Is anyone wanting tame pet types near say Geelong or Warnnambool? Not sure I spelt that one right. Edited April 1, 201015 yr by Ratzy
April 3, 201015 yr Uh..... sort of wood. Really strong cardboard with wood underneath to stabilize it. Thank you for the kind comment. I'll just upload some more pics then. Is anyone wanting tame pet types near say Geelong or Warnnambool? Not sure I spelt that one right. Â Great job Ratsy. Your bubs are beautiful. I've been having trouble with my computer and haven't caught up on the forum's. Why do you need to sell any? If cage is that big it would be a great family aviary.Six isn't a big number to keep as pets.
April 3, 201015 yr Awwwww! Ratzy they are really cute and it looks like dad is a cobalt not a skyblue - just as you said. The only way he and Marigold could have the little monster Thimble (who is a mauve (can't be grey as neither mum or dad are)) is if both Skye and Marigold have a dark factor! Marigold is definitely a dark green so Skye must be "Cobalt" not Skye
April 3, 201015 yr Author Thanks! I thought as much. I can't upload any pics as I am using a different computer. Dad wants to get rid of them and Marigold is checking out the nest box again. Is the little opaline a sky blue? That is her natural colour in all the pics. Edited April 3, 201015 yr by Ratzy
April 6, 201015 yr Looks like it but cinnamon and opaline together dilute out body colour so she might just be cobalt - but I would go with skyblue if I had to back one or the other.
April 6, 201015 yr Really? Guess I missed that one. So Skye DOES carry cinnamon. Maybe it was missed But the wings look brownish right ?
April 6, 201015 yr Oops sorry! No Ratzy you are 100% right! Just had a brain fart is all ignore me.... Opaline on it's own I mean........ sorry for the confusion.
April 6, 201015 yr Author okay. Here was little old me thinking how could have I missed that. No problem.
April 6, 201015 yr Author Her 'V' on her back is brown but the rest is black. I can understand how you'd think it was cinnamon.
April 6, 201015 yr No actually I didn't think at all - that was the problem. As I said, just a brain fart - it happens to us old ducks now and then
