do canaries need to be quarantined before going in with budgies in the same way that you have to quarantine budgies before putting them in with other budgies?, do they share the same diseses?

im not 100% but i would have though so.

Pscittacines (parrots) and passerines (canaries, finches, etc.) can get many of the same diseases. I know that scaly face mites (as well as other mites) for example, can effect canaries so you'd definitely want to quarantine. This is also why you shouldn't let a pet bird come in contact with the droppings of wild birds outside.
